Yew wood table project #1
One of the neighbors had some trees felled last year and I was gifted this tree because it was no good for burning.
This is Oregon yew and it is fairly rare with a wonderful strong grain. When not bent and twisted like this log it is
used for wood bows for archery because of its strength. The log I was gifted is 25' and most of it is salvageable.
This piece took about 20 hours of debarking and sanding and digging bark out of the nooks and crannies. Am
looking for a slab to finish for the top to finish it.
